During Cold war condition vs International situation nowadays..... :)

Cold War
The Cold War covers the situation where the two superpowers of the United State (Western Bloc) and Soviet Union (Eastern Bloc) with tension from the political, military and so on. It was "cold" because there was no large-scale fighting directly between the two sides. How cold during this time!
Who will survive?

Now, let's we make comparison between the condition in Cold War between the International situation nowadays......

1) Power and Cold War
During cold war, they have  a divisions among states as well as divisions within each states. For example, most Western and Democratic states would fall under the influence of USA while most communist states fall under the influence of the USSR. It can called as BIPOLAR because this 2 states have the majority of economic, military, cultural and regionally.

What the condition of power after Cold war?
The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 left the United States as the world superpower. After cold war ended, among theorists believe that the international system of post - Cold War international system is unipolar. USA as a one of the supreme power that control all the world.  Balance of power theory stipulates that as long as the international system remains unipolar, balance of power theory creates peace. Unipolarity generates few incentives for security and prestige competition among great powers.

2) Economic structure during Cold War
Economically speaking, the Soviets and the Americans we as different during the Cold War as they were politically. The Americans advocated free market capitalism while the Soviets promoted communism. Both sides touted the benefits of their system and the deficiencies of the other while claiming greater freedom for their citizens. For the Americans, this meant championing the innovation and affluence that capitalism brought; while correlating communism with oppression. In contrast, the Soviets preached egalitarianism among all citizens and portrayed the West as being greedy and materialistic. (1)

Effects of the Cold War?
The Cold War had many effects on society, both today and in the past. In Russia, military spending was cut dramatically. The effects of the military budget cuts were very large, seeing as the military-industrial sector had previously employed one of every five Soviet adults. Then, after Russia embarked on capitalist economic reforms in the 1990, it suffered a financial crisis and a recession more severe than the United States and Germany had experienced during the Great Depression. Besides that, military expenditures by the US during the Cold War years were estimated to have been $8 trillion, while nearly 100,000 Americans lost their lives in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Although the loss of life among Soviet soldiers is difficult to estimate, as a share of their gross national product the financial cost for the Soviet Union was far higher than that of the United States.(2)
